  1. *Posted this in another section here but it hasn't gotten any love. Can anyone help me decide on a new monitor? For consistency and performance (in gaming) should I opt for a 28 inch 4k monitor, or a 32 inch 4k monitor? Will be used for modded games (Like Skyrim), AAA MMORPG, and some light photo/video editing. I want all of this in one monitor. The size doesn't really matter to me, but if there is no significant difference in the two options I'd rather grab the 28 inch, as it IS cheaper. -Which, and why? -Recommendations on better 4K gaming monitors than the ones I provide would be great (under 1300 USD, with GSYNC if possible)? -Acer XB280HK versus Acer Predator XB321HK
  2. GTX 1070

GTX 1080 is nearly double the power of a 980 (not ti), and if the 1070 is going to be near half the price I'd say the 1070 will be close in performance to maybe a 980 or 980Ti. There are some "specs" for the 1080 at this link http://geforce.com/hardware/10series/geforce-gtx-1080 I know it is irrelevant but if they're releasing this card at the same price as some of their modern flagships with double performance, I can't imagine they would step the 1070 down below any of those cards. **this is pure speculation and is not definite**

  4. 28 or 32 in 4K Gaming Monitor?

I can respect that. Currently, I use a 27 in 1440p and it is a good size. I feel a 32 inch could be great for 4k, because of the resolution being crammed onto 32in vs 28in. ***Anyone know if the size difference between monitors would significantly impact the representation of the screen resolution comparatively between them?

Your Response: -Which, and why? -Recommendations on better 4K gaming monitors than the ones I provide would be great (under 1300 USD, with GSYNC if possible) -General opinions are not welcome. I would like a objective, individualized answer with a consensus based on statistics. ----tl;dr (please read above before commenting) -Acer XB280HK versus Acer Predator XB321HK (for consistency and performance)
  6. MMO Recommendations

I played Final Fantasy 14 for quite some time. It's a great game, although I do feel the cosmetic options in the game are sorely lacking, because the Squenix team has nerfed cash shop options. I enjoy the housing, and the dungeons/raids are epic! I'd recommend giving it a go, if monthly lunch money isn't an issue. Also I'd add that buying gold for that game is relatively easy, but can be pricy. It's a good balance of content for the monthly sub, and retail price of expansions. Plus you can raise chocobos, and some of the mounts are really neat (DON'T GO TO UNDERPOPULATED SERVERS IF YOU ENJOY PVE)
  7. MMO Recommendations

I used to play the Chinese version. I remember when this game first launched, it was awesome! Not many mmo's these days with such flashy, glossy visuals. I enjoyed that game thoroughly. Some people complain about PvE, but it's not that bad. I just love flying around. For people who like flying around with martial arts I'd also recommend Age of Wushu, that game is pretty fun if you can find a good community!
  8. MMO Recommendations

Heyo! I've played pretty much EVERY mmo to come to the (free and pay to play) gaming market. JUST CURIOUS: What MMO are you (currently) playing that you would recommend to others? ++Bonus points for underground mmo's that no one hears of in recommendations +Bonus points for open world mmo's My Recommendation: Anarchy Online - This game used to be bigger than WoW ever was. Before WoW got popular, this game dom'd the charts! It's rather aged, now.. but they keep releasing updates, it's incredible. HUGE open world Sci-Fi MMORPG (Sandbox). This game was my childhood and it is the iconic image of "what a mmo means to me" or "should be to me".
  9. Z170 Motherboard for 2x R9 390x CF

Yeah, I have all of the components etc. I'm just thinking of upgrading my mobo to something more recent (which may be unnecessary but I'd like to). I like the Fatal1ty. • How do the Fatal1ty boards stack up against a Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5? ** Gigabyte Gaming 5 Mobo Link **
  10. Z170 Motherboard for 2x R9 390x CF

    Anything in red? ( ͡■ ͜ ʖ ͡■)
  11. Heyo! Looking for a LGA 1151 Z170 board that can hold two MSI R9 390x cards (and run them optimally) for under 200 USD. Will be doing light CPU overclocking (only). Putting this in a NZXT S340 case, can be any size as long as it fits and meets the requirements below. Mobo needs room for: 2X Samsung 850 EVO SATA 4x8 2133 HyperX Fury DIMMs 212 Evo CPU Cooler 3 fan cables (a few daisy chained to make 3) ● Location: California, USA ● Budget: 200 USD (Less is better) (No judge for da wind cool'd pea sea pls)
  12. Recommended VPN (Gaming)

This answers my question, thank you!
  13. Recommended VPN (Gaming)

Heyo, forum! Just a question for any of you who use a VPN or have used VPN in the past for gaming. ●What VPN should I use for online gaming? ●Monthly Sub under 9 USD ●No DNS/IP Leaks I'm in California, and I am searching for a VPN provider that won't sully my latency, locally or internationally -- any more than connecting directly, internationally. I have a 45+ mbps connection.
  14. Multiplayer game recommendation

I would recommend finding a MMO to play. This would be the simplest method. Also on the internet exists Emulated video games from past consoles (for gamecube, n64, etc.. one may just Google "gamecube emulator" etc) which allow one to have a virtual simulator for pretty much any gaming device or console you can think of except the latest gen. For coop I would recommend the Borderlands Series. Highly replayable and very enjoyable. You could find the games in a bundle with the DLC on Steam or online somewhere. These games are not too difficult depending on your settings, have some rpg elements (mainly for special abilities) and you can customize guns and grenades to have special effects. There is looting, and a huge, impressive backstory. I would recommend watching some videos for the games and forming an opinion. They are top notch co-op games and you'll make lots of fun memories with them. For mmo I can't really recommend much since you don't care for rpg. Maybe do some research and pick a handful of mmos to choose from based on what genres you and your son prefer, there are tons of games out there to play. For emulated games one could search Google for "console emulators" which are used to play the games and find the corresponding files (ROM, ISO, so on) for the games themselves (also utilizing a search engine etc, maybe find a guide of how/what to install and play etc). Hope this helps!
