  1. Rip 5960X.. First ever DOA cpu..

Well secondary build is off to a great start!

  2. Difference between the 1070 Ti and a 1080 is $60.

    What do you guys think?

Is the the 1080 really worth the extra $60?

This is for an upcoming build.

I would say yes, always get the better GPU if you can afford it.

It won't be day and night difference, but it's there. Especially if you have an FPS counter up when you play.

I mean I would get Vega 64, the Asus Strix version but its $799..

Sure its a non-reference card but damn its way to expensive even if it is

  3. I was thinking of rebuilding my X99 rig with a 5960X and comparing it to my 2700X..

Kinda wondering how the processors would compare against each other

      cpubenchmark.com is a good place

      Totally forgot about that website!

  4. 4.3Ghz, 1.475v, Memory 3333Mhz

Also, VRM temps for the M7 stayed around 50c-55c, thanks to the Cryorig A80 Hybrid AIO!

4.4Ghz at 1.5v is a no go. That's pretty much as far as I am going go. At the end of the day, I'm pretty impressed with the 2700X.

I do have to wonder if having a X470 motherboard would change anything?

Seems to overclock better then the the previous generation.

    3. Dive5885

It does but at the same time I wouldn't run 4.3Ghz with 1.475v on the daily. That's a bit to high for me personally

  5. 4.2Ghz, 1.45v, Memory 3333Mhz

      Mmmm...not bad.

Here's my [email protected] and [email protected], dual rank memory if anybody wanted to compare it to last gen :P

I'm going to have to mess with overclocking later on tonight, as for cooling it seems like that the new ryzen chips are pretty temperature sensitive when it comes to XFR 2 and Precision Boost 2.

I've seen higher boosts under a 240mm aio, second highest was with the H7 Quad Lumi and lowest was with the wraith spire prism.

A 240 is more than enough if  you want to go the aio route, well at least with my aio lol

  7. Here's the link if you want to compare.

My memory is a quad channel 3000Mhz kit, runs surprisingly good without issues. I'm using the "Profile 2" which is 2933 for XMP.

  8. One of my go to cpu coolers, and companies!

    Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi!

  9. Here are the other three!

  10. One of my favorite photo's of the new build!

Tell me your thoughts on it after some time.

I'm curious what someone other then a reviewer thinks about it.

    4. Dive5885

For sure, I haven't had much time at the moment due to college but in the upcoming weeks I will post back with what I think about it.

  11. 1080 or 1080Ti?

    Thanks for the help!
  12. 1080 or 1080Ti?

Money isn't a problem, I don't have Vega 64 anymore so I can get pretty much whatever at the moment
  13. 1080 or 1080Ti?

If that's true then I might wait
  14. 1080 or 1080Ti?

Well I was thinking with a 1080 I might be able to squeeze in a gsync monitor but that's a big maybe
  15. 1080 or 1080Ti?

I know its up to me but I rather get others opinions before making a decision
