  4. Good MMORPGs for new player

Hey everyone, I'm a total newbie when it comes to MMO games. I've only played Lord of the Rings online briefly. I would like to play some MMORPG games again but not something with a monthly subscription. If you guys could give me suggestions for a Free to Play (but not pay to win) game or if available a game were you only pay once for each expansion. A game with good story and preferable fantasy genre (i.e. swords and magic and monsters etc) also a game where you could progress alone and get into parties to have a large battle or quest. doesn't have to be best graphics but would be nice if it wasn't awful. honestly what got me excited about MMOs is watching the anime Sword Art Online. I really like the style it was displayed so any game close to that would be great. Sorry if i'm asking for too much or being vague as i'm a total noob in the MMO world and don't know which games are which. thanks for your help
  5. Lost Ark?!?!?!

So yeah, I just stumbled upon this little game that should be coming out soon in Kor. I just hope that the game sees a release in English. Just wanted to share with you guys here on the forum. Here's a link to the gameplay trailer: https://youtube.com/watch?v=LL5zGvsmSM0 Cheers!
  6. Hey, LTT forums! 1. Budget & Location As stated in the title, the budget is around $900. I may consider going slightly above this if it will give me more bang for buck. I live in the Philippines. Although the budget is expressed in USD for your convenience, price conversion may not be entirely accurate since parts tend to be pricier around here, i.e. the i5-4690 is $199, but the lowest price I can find it for from local (ALREADY gaming-oriented, non-mainstream) dealers is the equivalent of $220. It may seem small, but imagine a price difference like that for every part. Sucks. But don't worry about that. Just a bit of a segway. The $900 budget already has that factored in, although I'll probably end up paying the equivalent of $1000+. 2. Aim Web browsing, gaming, schoolwork. No video or picture editing. Although the only game I'm playing on my PC right now is League of Legends (since I'm mainly a console/handheld gamer, and for reasons I will state in #5), I do understand that many games play better on the PC, with some very good games (that I really want) being exclusives or just plain unavailable on next-gen (I use a PS4) such as Dark Souls II, Crusader Kings II, Age of Empires II, Divinity: Original Sin, and Diablo III. So mainly RTS, RPG, MOBA, and maybe some MMO, but I'd also like the option of at least light FPS gaming if I want to try them out in the future. If budget runs tight on the GPU side, I'm okay with games running smoothly although not spectacularly. 3. Monitors Single monitor only, and 1080p is fine. 4. Peripherals I've already decided on the peripherals (CMStorm Quickfire TK, Razer Naga + Goliathus LoL edition, and SteelSeries Flux), and the budget does not include Windows. Feel free to comment on the peripherals, though. 5. Why are you upgrading? The reason I'm upgrading is that my computer right now is a Series 5 Samsung Ultrabook running on the 1.7 GHz, dual-core i5-3317U, 4GB RAM, and Intel HD Graphics 4000. Not exactly gamer-friendly.
  7. About Damn Time.. If you didn't know, there are botnet servers that let you use your account & letting the illicit software play Hearthstone through the night for you,This had been reported a while ago but blizzard didnot respond to this, until now.. For those who play late at night, the situation had become particularly ludicrous. At its worst, around a third of my opponents seemed to be bots. meanwhile Blizzard will continue the bans on the offending accounts only get what’s effectively a two month ban for flagrantly breaching the terms of service, Please Leave your thoughts & comments down belooooo...w meh! decided for a minimalistic post so only one pic & no bonus http://pcgamer.com/blizzard-bans-several-thousand-hearthstone-bot-accounts/

  9. Perfect Monitor for Me

Hello, First of all i'm tired of there not being one perfect monitor, perfect meaning 144 hz 4k ips, i get it would be super expensive, but just to have the option. So I guess I have to settle on something, but idk what. I don't know if I would notice the 144hz so idk if that is right for me, i've seen linus's video and it didn't help much, and I don't know whether I should get IPS or not, with IPS i am limited to 60hz, but if i don't notice more than that i guess that's fine. Then there is resolution. I will be running 2 980s in SLI so I think I can run all games at ultra (no AA) at 60fps and therefore 60hz, but im not sure. I also want 1 ms response time if it matters, if i'm not going to tell the difference between 1 and 5, I think 5 should be max but idk, i think i can do 5. I am not gaming super comptetively. So, I am looking for a monitor that I will be able to run at it's full hz with no AA on all ultra games, so if im only going to notice 60hz, can i do an ips 4k monitor or should i get a higher refresh rate, non ips lower resolution. IM CONFUSED!!!!!!!
  10. (sorry if it's a repost I found nothing but we know how the search function is sometimes ) Apparently, Blizzard has decided to give up on Titan, the new MMO they had been developing for 7 years now. According to Blizzard sources, the game just wasn't meant to be. (source: Polygon) Other articles on the subject: http://polygon.com/2014/9/23/6833953/blizzard-cancels-titan-next-gen-mmo-pc http://gamespot.com/articles/blizzard-cancels-next-gen-mmo-titan/1100-6422508/ Personally I'm glad to see that Blizzard actually cares about what they release and will only make games that they love producing, not just what makes them money (which wasn't so clear considering all dem wow expansions and dat sub fee). Of course canceled games are always a sad thing, but honestly, I'm not into mmos so I wouldn't have bought it anyway and id they feel it wouldn't have been that great, maybe they're just better off concentrating on other games (for MMO enthusiasts, maybe a wow 2 is on the horizon?). Thoughts! NVM the search function has failed me again.
  11. So the game that was rumoured to be the successor of world of warcraft called Titan has now officially been cancelled after being in development for 7 years! Holy balls a lot of money was "wasted" Source (reliable dutch website, use chrome to translate or something) : http://tweakers.net/nieuws/98637/blizzard-stopt-na-zeven-jaar-met-ontwikkeling-mmo-titan.html
  12. Looking for MMO

Hey guys so i recently got into warframe and i'm enjoying the experience so far. Problem is that while advertised as a coop game it feels anything but "coop" it's more just playing alongside with others with very little help for each other aside from the occasional need to revive each other. Also i joined in fairly late so i missed out on the founders packs and a few other "freebies" and such Anyways i do still plan on playing this game but i'd also like to look for an alternative to Warframe. So the requirements are the following: Needs to be free to play or has plans on becoming free to playHas coop to play with friendsIs in alpha, closed or open beta (oddly enough i don't want to go with a finished one since i'd like to support the game if i find one that takes my interest, usually founder packs and such only are offered before they go "live" officially) only exception is if "founder" packs are still available for a released MMO at the current time. Not pay to win (if known)Has very nice graphics on a similar level to warframe.(Optional) Ideally i'm looking for a MMO Third Person Shooter or MMOTPS (i'm flexible with this so it's preferred but optional)(Optional) Is on Steam or has plans of being available on steam Those are the requirements i can think of from the top of my head, they may change but that's pretty much the most important stuff. I know some of my requirements are odd but at the end of the day it's what i want. Thanks for the help to those that reply
  13. it's been 10 years since the most epic MMO was introduced to this world WOW!, In order to celebrate World of Warcraft’s 10-year anniversary Blizzard has created a special in-game event that begins Friday, November 21st and lasts until Tuesday, January 6th, 2015. The event consists of the three activities Maximum Molten Core One of WoW’s classic 40-player dungeons, Molten Core, will be available in Raid Finder during the anniversary period for level 100 players. Making it through the underground gauntlet and defeating Ragnaros will reward players with a Core Hound mount and a Warlords of Draenor Raid Finder–quality helm (100% guaranteed!). Southshore vs. Tarren Mill—The Battle Continues To recapture the feeling of the endless tug-of-war of early WoW PvP, we’ll be opening a Team Deathmatch–style Battleground based on the timeless struggle between Southshore and Tarren Mill. We’ll have two different brackets for players to take part in: one for levels 90–99 characters and another for level 100. Unlike the old days of Tarren Mill vs. Southshore, there will be a clearly defined victor, so you’ll need to work as a team or face crushing defeat. A win will gain you a shiny new title: either Tarren Mill Terror for the Alliance or Southshore Slayer for the Horde. Onward into Warlords of Draenor With the release of Warlords of Draenor, all unrated PvP Battlegrounds, Skirmishes, and other unrated PvP activities will be available immediately. The new rated season will begin Tuesday, December 2 at 8 a.m. PST. We also wanted to make sure that everyone had time to level up before we opened our first Raid dungeon, Highmaul, in Normal and Heroic modes. These will open at the same time as the rated PvP season (December 2), with Raid Finder and Mythic modes opening the following week. We’ll provide a complete schedule in the future for those who wish to start planning their new Raid calendars. Blizzard is also throwing in a free Molten Corgi pet for anyone who logs in to World of Warcraft during this period. The latest World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor will be released on November 13th, shortly before the 10- year anniversary event kicks in.. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/15787801/preparing-to-launch-warlords-of-draenor-celebrate-10-years-of-world-of-warcraft-9-10-2014 http://loadthegame.com/2014/09/12/world-warcraft-10-year-anniversary-event-detailed-blizzard/
  14. Best upcoming MMORPG to play?

  15. Transverse - a Star Citizen competitor?

There is a new mmo, very similar to Star Citizen in its funding stage... lets see what they say on their website https://transversegame.com/ So basically its an mmo similar to Star Citizen, yet with its homemade ships and their supposingly unique combat. They are still in the funding phase, and they need a couple of million dollars to make their dream come true. on RSI(Star Citizen forum) there's a thread going on https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/174419/transverse-a-universe-to-explore/p1 The developers are Piranha Games, the same creators as the MechWarrior Online series -a known moneygrab. What do you guys think about it? Will you pledge? What about it looks unique? What about it will possibly make it fun game? And lastly, is it actually a competitor... Hint...take a peek at their stretch goals
  16. Razer Naga Epic

So my friend (who knows me too well) showed me the razer naga epic... and now I want one. The one thing I wonder about though, is it a bit small? I've seen there are inter-changeable grips on it, but the standard one felt a bit small. I guess I have average sized hands (medium) for a guy from scandinavia. Anyone have any advice on this one? Also, how is the battery life?
  17. Hey guys, Im looking for a mouse arround 50 $ . What about this Venus 16400 pdi mmo ? Anyone got any experience with it?
  18. I spend most of my gaming time between FPS games (counter strike, BF4, etc) and MMO(s) (RuneScape, maybe WoW soon), and now I'm in a great need of a new mouse and I'm looking for a one that can do both fps gaming and MMO without issues. So, it should have a decent number of programable keys without giving a feeling of being overwhelmed, be able to do a heck a lot of mouse clicks quickly and survive the spam clicking sessions in some MMOs. Not forgetting providing great ergonomics for long gaming and even general work sessions and gives a good level of precision for FPS gaming. For the design anything will do, but I do want to avoid mice that just plain just give a SWAG impression .
  19. Which MMO mice are worth considering?

I'm getting a new mouse. Right now i'm using the Razer Naga, but it's reached the end of it's life span and I need to find a new mouse to use. After having used an MMO mouse for almost 3 years I cannot imagine going back to a standard mouse. So yeah, which MMO mice on today's market are worth considering? I want to order 3-4, try them out and send back the 2-3 that I don't want. As for preferences: the more buttons the merrier, preferably something larger than the Naga.
  20. 2D MMORPG?

i really like games like maplestory but i want to find another 2D mmorpg if you know of a good one let me know, thanks.
  21. First PC build!

A pc that can handle gaming very well at high settings on world of warcraft, league of ledgends and most games. £600+ budget, no peripherals required. No preference on anything apart from it fitting in a Fractal Design R4. Need a computer chair so feel free to recommend. Need a headset but not immediately so please don't add to parts list just suggest. Also relatively old keyboard and mouse, so suggestions please but don't add in the parts also. I have a monitor but its old but I like it, but also feel free to recommend. So no preference just a fast £600+ computer. thanks, pxseidxn
  22. Rift VS TERA

Just out of curiosity what is LTT Forums preference out of these two free games?
  23. Any Good Free MMOs

So i don't really play much MMOs the only ones i have played is Runescape when i was younger and WoW for 30mins but i want to get into one something that dose not get boring fast and something that is free could you guys recommend a few thanks
  24. Hello! I'm planning to buy a new MMO-oriented mouse for the ease using programmable keys on programs like Photoshop and After Effects, as well as to play some MMO's. I've come to a decision between the Logitech G600, Razer Naga 2014 and the Corsair M95. I've only tried out the Naga 2014 on display, and the prices are all similar (except if I wanted a white G600 for $60). Currently I am using a cheap Logitech M100, which I'm actually fond and used to. Firstly I don't know how responsive and clicky the buttons are on the G600, and whether to go for the G600's Ring-Click or the mechanical buttons on the Naga.To me, the G600 and the Naga 2014 feel like the same mouse. My only concern is the clicky-ness and responsiveness of the thumb buttons on the G600, as the Naga 2014 uses mechanical buttons which I loved when I sampled. On the other hand, the G600's ring-click would be very helpful. If the responsiveness is okay on the G600, then the Naga is out of the question. Secondly, the Corsair M95 looks like a mouse I'm either going to love or hate. I use a somewhat claw grip on the Logitech M100 (not super high off the mouse, but not palming it), and I don't know if the M95 is good with a claw grip at all. I also don't know the responsiveness of the thumb buttons either, as with its layout a spongy key would seem like a bad choice. On the other hand, the space in the middle is very helpful, and I think I like the layout if my hand were to fit it right. Insight on the Corsair M95 would be helpful, it's like a gamble on a mystical beast whether it exists or not . All help is appreciated, thanks!
  25. OK, so basically I've picked up this new job, in the near to mildly distant future I want a fast, quiet gaming pc that can play League of legends an games like Call of duty and maybe BF4 on medium settings, (i dont care all too much about how it looks as long as it runs constantly well) I don't quite have a set budget yet so anything is expected, help me please (I have build computers before I just don't know how each specific part works in certain games, I'm not exactly a noob, i know some but not all)
