  2. Need Suggestions on Engines...

So, basically I am going to 'try' to make a game for fun and was wondering which of the the 3 engines, (Cryengine, Unreal Engine, or Unity) would be the best for non-commercial use? I'm mainly doing this for fun and experience nothing more (so I guess its for non-commercial use). Other than that thanks! I was also wondering if I should get Unity Pro or not if I start to like it? Thanks again for answering and sorry it I did not provide enough information.
  3. I have been putting together a build that will give me a good basis to upgrade over the next half-year or so (through to early 2015ish). The first upgrade set being around Christmas. Whats different from most builds is that my main focus is MMO gaming, not just everyday high end gaming. To my knowledge this could change things a bit (processor importance, maybe the benefit of overclocking). Im still very new to this whole thing in general, therefore Im looking for any advice/direction/tweaks to this build to better suit my needs. The budget is around 700-800 range. MAIN GOALS: Maxing out settings on Wildstar and World of Warcraft, maintaining 60+FPS (or as close as possible to) even in highly congested areas/events. Heres what I have so far: Case: HAF 912 http://newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233 HDD: 1tb http://newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840 Video Card: GTX 750 http://newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487027 PSU: 600w http://newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438014 Ram: 8gb Corsair http://newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345 Mobo: MSI B85-G41 http://newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130699 CPU: i5 4460 http://newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117302 (especially conflicted on what to get here) Windows 8.1 Full (or OEM?) thanks in advance for any help:) EDIT: For OS im kind of cloudy. Am i able to buy Windows 8.1 OEM version and use it more than once if i upgrade the motherboard or other parts? or is it locked to one motherboard. Should I get the full version?
  4. Looking for good MMO's to play

Does anyone know of some good MMO games to play? Doesn't matter what type, just as long as they are fun and not turn based. I've already watched videos on Youtube for ESO, Guild Wars 2, Firefall, LoL, DOTA 2, and some others. They can be pay-to-play or F2P.
  5. Excited for Wildstar

  6. PlanetSide 2 any good?

Hi, does anyone here play it? It looks alright, is it worth getting into. Also is free to play an option or do you really need to pay to actually play properly?
  7. Super budget MMO Machine

Hello all! I'm in the process of trying to get a parts list together for a budget gaming machine for my girlfriend. 8. Hello all! I'm trying to make a computer for my girlfriend, however, It needs to be something cheap, and nothing special. It's going to be pushing a 1920x1080p monitor, and will be playing games like World of Warcraft, and similar light needs games. If possible, and upgrade path would be awesome, in case she ends up playing more. Intel or Fm2+ for ITX I want the minimum price possible, that makes sense. It needs to run the game well, and not bog down her playing experience. Thanks for the help all! If you have any questions, just ask
  9. Sony Announces Zombie MMO

Well, apparently Sony is going to release a zombie MMO. The game is called H1Z1. Sony says that they're releasing the game because there really hasn't been a large scale zombie MMO with Zombies as the main center of attention. Sony said: "The world is massive as you’ve come to expect from our games". So we should expect a big world from what Sony says. I guess we will have to wait. I don't want to spoil all the info on the game, so go ahead and read it. But before that, here's the first screenshot of the game: Source: http://gamersbook.com/News/Article/ID/748/Sony-Announces-Zombie-MMO-H1Z1-First-Screenshots Happy reading, Max.
  10. This might be the best character creator I have ever seen. Even better than The Sims. Not sure how good the game will be, but I'll try it out just for the character creator alone. You can change pretty much everything down to even the smallest detail. It's really amazing.
  11. Hi there. I need help with deciding on which keyboards to go with for playing mmos, well I primarily play Guild Wars 2 and I do play MOBA games like LoL but not as always as GW2, what i do need is a help in giving your honest opinions on which keyboards to get and with reasons why. I have looked around, and did my research on the internet about which keyboards to get they are corsair K95, corsair k70, steelseries 6Gv2...and somewhat membrane keyboards like steelseries apex and razer anansi but I don't want to go for membranes because I broke 2 of them, been using logitech for a while now and I wanted to change, I want to go for mechanical for its famous longlasting period, well atleast they last better than membrane keyboards. No I'm not a tech geek so I appreciate the comments
  12. Mods could you please move this Thread to LFG as it is more LFG than general PC gaming. Hey guys! I'm an avid player of Wurm Online and I thought I'd bring the game that I love to your attention, or maybe you're looking for another game to get addicted to. What is Wurm Online? Wurm Online is a fantasy/medieval themed sandbox game that is free to play forever but your free account will have a skill cap of 20 out of 100 (more on this later). Wurm Online is a game where you can live in the woods, grow your crops and tend to your stock. Wurm Online is a game where you could live in a deed (Player made town, more on this later) and become a great chain smith (or plate mail, or weapons etc.). Wurm Online is a game of endless possibilities backed up by an even greater and dedicated community. Why should I care? You should care if you are tired with games where you can't 'connect' with the players you are playing with. When you search for a game in say a CoD or Battlefield you hardly ever play with the same people and have a fresh experience each time. Wurm has a very, very small community (Probably under 20,000 players, pretty sure a lot less.) and you get to know people on your map fairly well. Every time you log in you will be able to go "Morning Jerimiah! How's the crops coming along?, Need any help keeping animals out?" or "Oh, hello Jeff! Didn't see you there! Have you got any rope I can buy off you?". That's the kind of community Wurm is. A community that you won't fit into straight away but after some time of journeying around and talking to players, you will feel more at home and part of the 'family'. Not another game with skills... how is Wurm different? Wurm is based around Skills. Now you might be saying, not another game with lists of skills... Fear not, Wurm improves upon the skill system significantly! Rather than having to get to level 25 to be able to 'unlock' smithing long swords all you need is a good Quality Anvil and some ore so that you have a chance (which is a % out of 100, 6% is the minimum to make something craft-able) to make the long sword, none of this get to level 25 to unlock a long sword!! That's not to say a higher weapon smithing won't allow you to make better swords but it's the combination of the quality (how 'good' something is. 99 is best, 1 is worst) of the objects you are using to make something. Need to improve that sword? Time to heat it up and temper the blade. Tempered the blade? Use a Whetstone to improve it some more. What are the controls? WASD to move as usual, clicking and dragging the mouse makes you look around (easy to get used to after a while) and there is no jumping either. Interacting with the world is done via clicking and drop down menus. This 'Wurm Online' game sounds interesting but why should I play? If you are looking for a game where you can be you, literally, then you should download Wurm now and try it out. It's free after all. Still not convinced? Somewhere inside that organic body of yours is a mind that is longing to be creative in a sandbox game where you can build, explore and have a great time with your friends. I will be embedding a YouTube video in this thread of me talking about Wurm and showing it off when I get the time too. You mentioned that this is Free to play, Forever?? Short answer: Yes. Long answer: You will have a skill cap of 20 out of 100 and that's it if you play for free. No other restrictions. For something like 10 Euros a month you get premium, some coins (which you can use to buy some nice gear from fellow players) and a referral so that a friend of yours can get one month of Premium free (This is a one time thing though). You can earn you way for Premium in-game though! I can pay for premium time just by playing? Yes you can. You just need to do jobs for other players who will pay you in coins which you can use to buy premium time. Once you get a skill to a good level (say 40-50) you can make money easily buy selling whatever you craft by that skill. Therefore you are actually playing for free! [spoiler=Righto, this 'Wurm Online' game sounds pretty awesome, I'd like to play!] 1) Simply visit their site and click the play button: http://wurmonline.com/ Make sure to register an account for the game too! If you want to play with me (and other LTTF members) you need to do the following when IN-GAME: 1) Complete the tutorial up to the point where it asks you which server cluster you want to go to. 2) Go to either of the portals, examine it (by right clicking, examine) and checking if the portal goes to the EPIC or FREEDOM ISLES. 3) If the portal says Freedom Isles, go to the other portal. If it says Epic you are at the right portal. 4) Enter the portal and make sure you choose: Serenity as the server/world Jenn-Kellon as the race 5) Welcome to Serenity! Talk in local chat and ask for Covanent or anyone at DNPA (Dept. of New Player Assistance) and say you joined Wurm because of Samotage, some one in the village will then talk to you. OR/AND Type "/t samotage" without the quotes and you will then be in a chat window with me if I am on. 6) You are now playing Wurm Online with Samotage! Thanks for taking an interest in my post and I hope I have convinced you to play Wurm Online (maybe with me too!). - Samotage, long time player of Wurm (Over 700+ Hours).
  13. http://products.ncix.com/detail/corsair-vengeance-m90-performance-mmo-rts-4f-93487-1020.htm Not actually sure who's it refurbished by. If someone knows, tell me so I can add it to the OP. Considering refurb mice are often from people who just don't like their mice and returned it, this might be a pretty nice deal.
  14. Fun MMO Games for PC

A while back me and my friends use to play online games with each other when we first got our computers, back then I was overwhelmed by all the games and now I feel like there isn't a lot (Haven't been keeping up with new games). We just play league now and it's getting pretty depressing because of the community and game-play... I'm looking for a multi-player, action, survival, adventure game not too graphically intense because some of us don't have good pcs. MMO-RPGs will not do because I don't have the patience for grinding and farming, either do my friends lol.. Thanks for reading, hope to hear some good recommendations -Sena

  20. Hello all, I'm writing this about a new MMO. There once was a MMO called Pirates Of The Caribbean Online, which was made by Disney. On September 19, 2013 Disney closed it's servers. Hundreds of thousands were left without a game. Until Zachary, the lead developer of POTHS, announced his company would create a new MMO like it. He says it will not be exactly the same but basically similar, for copyright reasons. He's doing it all for free so I thought if help share the word. The community is amazing and the game will be on Indiegogo to help fund it. They need $40k to make it happen. Do please come check out the forums. Also they added a SteamGreen light concept page check it out, they are trying to get the game on Steam. You never know what this could turn into! They actually listen to the community! Everyone please check out the forums and sign up, also favorite and like it on Steam Greenlight. Steam GreenLight Concept: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=226137880 Pirates Of The High Seas Forums: http://forums.piratesofthehighseas.com/index.php?portal/ Please note I am not involved with POTHS, just a fan who wants to help spread the word.
