  1. The HDD in my families old desktop was dying and the windows 7 installation on it would no longer boot so I cloned the drive to a new healthy one before attempting to repair the windows install. I've booted up into the recovery mode and I've already run chkdsk, it gets to stage 4 then comes to a halt at 28% for a few hours before continuing. I tried running SFC but it giving me issue, with the "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation" message. I ran chkdsk and it gave me no errors and I've already run the "ICACLS C:\Windows\winsxs" command and yet sfc still won't work. I can't seem to find any other info on a solution and I would prefer not to reinstall windows. I get a blue screen when trying to boot into windows normally or in safe mode, but the system reboots before the blue screen can stay on the monitor for more than a 1/10 of a second and the minidump folder is empty so I can't look at the BSOD logs. Also, would anyone know where to get a Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32/64-Bit ISO? For some reason, the download page on Microsoft sees my key as the Korean version.
