Dang yeah, I have a good job and am blessed to be able to afford higher end smart phones but 1000+ for a phone is insane! I've been watching a lot of reviews and the s8 plus seems pretty cool, but if the s9 comes out in the next 6 months ill be bummed I jumped the gun.

i meant the iPhone 8 Plus lol you get to keep the same size as the 7+ but have a faster phone

There really isn't any reason to upgrade to an 8 from a 7, there's just no where near enough of a difference. Plus, OP himself already knocked the 8+ out for that very reason.

Hey guys! Back with an update. After hearing about the battery degradation throttle update from iOS I pulled the trigger.  I got a Note 8, I know just because iOS got caught throttling even for a reason that kinda makes sense it doesn't mean other companies are not doing the same thing. But it was kinda the nail in the coffin. I had benchmarks from when I first got the phone and after the update I lost 20 % performance give our take.

So far I am struggling with android and the Samsung interface but I'm learning quickly and have grown to like certain features. Something I learned about my self is that is not about the bells and whistles for me. It's about ease of use and I think that iOS has that down pat.  But I'm enjoying the huge screen, AMOLED 1440p screen and the quality of build is better than my 7+ in my opinion.

Thanks for all of the replies and opinions.

Because the iPhone is always late on game updates and if they are crossplay you get the short end of stick because Android users are always ahead! Plus customization is fun try any launcher you want, I personally would pick Blackberry or Nokia depending on what you want. :3
